AUSSIE Thanasi Kokkinakis has been involved in a heated courtside argument with opponent Fernando Verdasco during their third-round clash at the Miami Open.
After upsetting Roger Federer in the second round, Kokkinakis lost to Verdasco in three sets (6-3, 4-6, 6-7) to be knocked out of the tournament.
But tensions boiled over during the third set after Verdasco told a member of the crowd to be quiet. And that member of the crowd happened to be Kokkinakis’ father.
“That’s my dad,” Kokkinakis told Verdasco.

Meanwhile, in far less dramatic fashion; Nick Kyrgios progressed through to the Round of 16 after a straight sets win over fifteenth seed Fabio Fognini.
